STAT OF THE WEEK: Mark Ingram leads the SEC in rushing with an average of 125.5 yards per game, fifth-best in the nation. With 1,004 rushing yards, Ingram is one of three players in the nation who has reached 1,000 this season.

Alabama has posted consecutive 8-0 records for the first time since the 1973 and '74 seasons.

Alabama has scored first in every game this season.

Alabama's 12-10 victory over Tennessee last week was the Crimson Tide's first win without a touchdown since a 6-3 victory over Tennessee on Oct. 22, 2005, a span of 46 games.

Alabama is giving up 3.82 yards per play, second fewest in the nation to Texas' 3.58.

Alabama has not allowed an opposing player to rush for 100 yards in 28 games. Ole Miss' BenJarvus Green-Ellis was the most recent rusher to reach triple digits against the Tide when he ran for 131 in 2007.

Last week, Tiffin passed former Tennessee PK Faud Reveiz for fourth place on the SEC's career field-goals list. Tiffin has kicked 72 field goals. Billy Bennett holds the league record with 87 field goals for Georgia from 2000-03.

CB Javier Arenas needs 117 yards to break Lee Nalley's SEC career punt-return record of 1,695 yards set at Vanderbilt from 1947-49. Arenas needs 182 yards to break Wes Welker's NCAA career punt-return record of 1,767 yards set at Texas Tech from 2000-03.

Alabama has won 20 consecutive regular-season games, the Crimson Tide's longest streak since it won 25 in a row from 1991 through 1993.

I expect to see some big numbers from Ingram in the next 4 games. I saw a stat on ESPN tonight that said of our last 4 games none of them are better than 50th in the nation on run defense.
