🏈 Impact of the playoff on attrition

Does anyone else foresee the limits on scholarships being increased due to the additional grind of the play off, which could very well include the top 8 soon?

I'm sitting here at the end of the season looking at our schedule, and I don't find another team in the country with the physical gauntlet that we have: LSU, Miss St, Auburn, potentially Georgia, and potentially two more top-ranked teams. This is ridiculous!

If not, then we need to begin simplifying the offense and defense to make it more accommodating for younger and healthier bodies. Or, as I've said before, get rid of conference championship games.

I wonder if the best thing for the SEC going forward would be to split into two conferences, an east and west, so both could have a champion and a possible playoff berth. I know that causes problems but the gauntlet the SEC champion has to run, whoever it is, is terribly difficult.
