šŸ“½ /šŸŽµ I'm tempted to check out the first episode of the USA Network "remake" of "The Rainmaker." (Damon, Grisham's novel.)

BUT. Good lord. I got a problem with the casting already.

Bruiser is a real person in Memphis. So is Prince. And they've got a lady playing Bruiser and a black guy playing Prince. Absolutely no reason for either. Both of those guys are as colorful of characters as you can imagine.

Hell, if I've been to Prince's bar once...geez, two dozen or more times...just to sit in the balcony and watch.

Grisham is ultra light reading. But, I've always appreciated the background and characters were often real. He'd been there, done that. Hey, Lana Parrilla is pretty hot...but, so far from Bruiser.

(Pirated versions are already out in HD so it must not have been that big of a hit.)

I don’t think I’ll watch it. That book was the 1st book I read for ā€œpure enjoymentā€. Before that I would leaf through books and never really ā€œdiveā€ into the story. After I read that book (hard back) before the soft back was . readily available, I was hooked.
Cussler is my favorite though…
