In the football circle of friends I have I've asked a lot the same question. This group has a variety of age groups so I've heard answers dating back to when Frank Broyles was coach. Some old enough to say Ken Hatfield was a good coach and still remember enough about Alabama football to add "though we never played Arkansas under Hatfield."
With me, it's Houston. I can remember a number of years where I heard reports of Nutt working on things for our game long before game week.
I realize we're talking about the DuBose years, two with fRan, and then Shula's tenure with Nutt. I realize those were down years due to a variety of other reasons. Yet, when it came to this game with Nutt...it was a game I always looked at skeptically.
I respected Danny Ford but there wasn't that great degree of "game anxiety" as a fan. Crowe, Hatfield, Holtz...just sections of their history.
So, based on you guys and your experiences...what say you?
