🏈 If you could take one player from any SEC team and put him in our starting lineup who would it be?

And in some cases, who is this player going to replace? Let's do offense and defense just to make it something you have to think about!

The last part makes it a bit tough, eh? I bet you're thinking, "so I've got to sit him to put him in?" Yeppers.

Who is your choice?

My choice?

Harrison Jones replaced by Chris Gragg (Uark.) Ryan Swope (A&M) is a close second choice if I had two on offense.

Sam Montgomery for Quinton Dial in the DE position is where I'm tempted to go but I'm also stuck on having a guy like Jarvis Jones playing SAM.

Georgia LB Jarvis Jones, can you picture him with Nico, CJ, and Trey...hate to say it but would have been honey badger just because the way he changes the return game but the kid makes dumb off the field decisions so he would be a no because of that

Justin Hunter for a deep on the depth chart WR. The kid can flat out play and would teach some of our WR good things.

On defense I'd be a copy-cat and say Clowney for probably Dial but under present conditions it'd be nice to have Zack Mettenberger backing up McCarren of course replacing whomever (Ely?) lands the #2 quarterback job.

I would bring Brad Wing over and let him handle the punts

I thought about him, but couldn't get past his attitude. A punter talking smack on the playing field? It may be the most protected position there is when you consider most that run their mouth have to face the music, so to speak. He runs his mouth then runs off the field.

I have a feeling Saban would take that out of him plus with the players around him at Alabama would be able to get him focused I bet. I am sure most of his practices on special teams he listed to honey badger and picked up on his ways

I know that's not what you meant but it works just as well...

Thinking outside the box a little here and with recent attrition, I would go with Jonathan Banks from Mississippi St. A close 2nd would be Jarvis Jones from UGA and 3rd would be Cobi Hamilton from Arkie. I know that's three but I will even throw out a coveted "rookie" and that would be Dorial Green-<wbr>Beckham from Mizzou.

Really about the only one that pops to my mind is Lattimore. As much as I like our RB's, I think it'd be hard to turn him down if it was an option to get him.

Arkansas place kicker Zack Hocker.

He had the same numbers as Shelley did last season; exactly the same.

The difference between the two is Hocker was 4-7 from 40-49 and 1-1 from out side the 50. Shelley was 2-6 outside the 40.

Cade had some bad numbers which makes the entire kicking game look bad. We ended up 4-15 outside the 40 with Foster's 2-9.

can't remember his name but GA has a corner that i recall watching. we could use one of those.

You sure you aren't thinking about Bacarri Rambo? He's a safety for UGA and a good one. I thought about him, but have too much respect for how well Vinnie knows out defense.

I thought about Lutz a lot when I picked Gragg.

Lutz would be hard for most teams to turn down.

Their punter had about 2X as many yards as Cody did, but also had about 2X as many kicks. About a yard difference in average kick.

Unfortunately, he had a ton of practice last year...
