šŸ“” If the Big Ten sits out Fall 2020, a National Championship without the most historic power conference will be suspect.

You can see the joke here. But, as with all good jokes, there's a lot of truth here.

Let's assume the B1G sits. Now we've got four of the five playoff participating conferences. Is the national title winner, assuming there is a playoff, a true national champion?

Okay, let's say the B1G and PAC are both out. Now we're looking at the Big 12, the SEC, and the ACC. Do they go with three of five for the fall playoff?
Let's take it a step farther. Let's say the B1G and PAC delay their start until the spring. Do we have a three conference playoff, with a fourth invite, then playing the spring playoff winners? Can you see a team winning a playoff in January, only to have to face the other playoff winner in June?

If we don't see some agreement or unification between the conferences we are going to be looking at the 2020 season with no national title winner.
Even if we see a Bama team go undefeated, and that team is the only undefeated team in college football, any recognition of a "title," other than SEC, is going to be scoffed at worse than 1941.

Be prepared to live, or relive in some situations, a season a lot like 1966.

Nothing could be a bigger joke than 1941....seriously.....
Well...maybe 1966.....
The other way around

I think as soon at the little 10 goes, then the hippie dippies on the left coast will immediately follow. If your scenario above doesn't get fulfilled, then this probably allows both a SEC West and East team in. Once again, we'll get to look across the field and see a stupefied bowl cut wondering how he got this far with a Wake QB.

To me, it is very simple.
IF the B1G conference (and any other P5 conference) decides not to play football this fall, then it would seem to me that they don't qualify to be in the championship race. They are not playing football! So, the conferences that DO play all are eligible to compete for a championship.
Remember, the champion from any year in the past did not play every team (or every conference) during their championship season, so why penalize the participants because a few decide not to play?

We can have games with NO championship implications......
If all dont play...then just sit back and watch n enjoy the games that are played...
The games dont have to count in the stats....no Heisman....no conference champions...no State championship.... just some games...period
Take all pressure off playing... just play football
