It's certainly a different brand of ball the further west you get. And I don't quite understand why. The best excuse that I can come up with is that they put their more athletic players on offense as opposed to defense.

Maybe it's just as simple as they don't spend as much time at practice, practicing defense, but they feel offense is more important. I don't know, I just don't get it.

I will say this...it can be enjoyable to watch. It just doesn't always produce well when put against a team with a good defense.

He certainly had a Heisman moment on Saturday.

I still think if Robert Griffin plays well and Baylor beats Texas it should/will be his. The guy is having an unreal season with zero talent around him. He's had one of the best seasons a major college qb has ever had. Richardson, while impressively consistent all season, isn't having the same kind of year historically. If academics plays any sort or role (Griffin already has finished a Masters Degree with a 4.0 GPA) for a large group of voters he'll be hard to beat.

I also wonder if there won't be some blow back against Richardson from voters in other areas that resent Alabama getting a rematch in an all SEC BCSNCG. If that happens, and I don't know if it will, it would be a shame. Whoever wins it should win it based on merit alone.

I agree RGIII is UNREAL right now and should be a finalist (tho i dont think he should win over Richardson in any way, shape, form, or fashion). Dude is def. incredible. My question to u is have u actually seen those WRs play to make that statement that there is "zero talent" around him? Seeing some of the separation that these receivers have gotten against DBs for him in SEVERAL games (we're talking burning corners by 10-15 yards regularly) that is a very ignorant statement to make.

Gannaway is solid runner too...

Has anyone seen the official campaign site for Richardson? I'm sorry but this has to be the weakest video put out by UA on the football program ever. Most of the highlights simply show him going into the end zone. Where are the broken tackles, the run against Auburn, the initial juke on the Ole Miss safety, the pile moving, and pass catching? I'm sorry but this is weak.

The one they did for Ingram was much better. I haven't checked the other nominees from UA to compare them to the 2009 ones they did for Arenas, Mcclain, and Cody.

I've watched 4 full Baylor games this year and significant parts of others. I also watched multiple games last year and in 2008. The talent around RG3 compared to the talent around all the other Heisman candidates is barely comparable. The phrase 'zero talent' was allegorical. How was that not obvious?

I've also watched multiple games from all the other top guys. Given the performances of all the players, their statistics, and how they have impacted their teams I think RG3 is the best player this year.

LMAO im pretty sure that i CLEARLY said RGIII is an amazing talent. u said there was zero talent around the dude, and u can claim it was being allegorical all u want, but u said it. ive watched several FULL games of theirs too and there is MOST DEFINITELY talent around him. Kendall Wright is an EXCELLENT receiver and Gannaway is a good Tailback not to mention the other 3 receivers that have combined for well over 1,000 yards themselves. You dont get separation with DBs like those receivers have with "no talent."

and u wanna talk about not having much talent around a player, why dont u go check the talent around Andrew Luck... pretty much no down field targets at all. dude has to go to his TEs majority of the time because the receivers cant get separation and drop so many balls.
