🏈 I wonder if we will ever see Mark and Trent at the same time

I'm shocked it hasn't happened already. When you have two players that dynamic it almost feels like you're cheating yourself to not put them on the field at the same time.

nah nah nah forget that. The ultimate package would be Mark in the wildcat and trent lined up behind him in the pistol ala. Nevada type offense.

i've been talking about this since the season began. how does this sound to everyone?

Ingram (or Richardson) lined up in the Wildcat, with Richardson (or Ingram) and Maze in motion from opposite directions crossing as the ball is snapped. it puts our three best ball carriers on the field at once.

I dont think you can have 2 players in motion at the same time the ball is snapped.

I have seen Mark in Wildcat with Trent in motion a couple of times, but they usually have Julio in motion. I would like to see more of the Mark/Trent wildcat. Seems that would be harder to defend properly.

To me, Trent is the stronger one while Mark is more harder to get a good hit on in the open field. This says to me to put Trent in the Wldcat threatening a between the tackles run, and have Mark in motion with a running head start on outside pursuit because they have honor Trent's inside threat. Can you imagine first contact on mark being a CB?

yeah, i've seen Trent and Mark run the Wildcat before, but i was talking about putting Maze in there too. however, if you can't have two guys in motion at once then nevermind. how about this though ... Trent in Wildcat ... hands off to Mark in motion ... Mark hands off to Maze (reverse) ... with Trent, a pulling guard, and a tight end leading the way???

You guys are talking about months of preparation for what might be run twice per game. The footwork and handoffs alone would take weeks of everyday work to get Saban confident enough to do it in a game.

I think that the wrinkle that should be used more is Maze in the backfield with either of the two headed monster. That gives you the threat to throw and you cant leave Greg uncovered and put 11 on 10.
