šŸˆ I was expecting this kind of take on Bama's victory over LSU

No kidding Greg. Like I posted in another thread...

The LSU loss had nothing to do with:

Miles going for a two-point conversion way too early in the game (even Danielson picked up on that one), or Miles calling to block a punt while they were only down by one score, or Miles calling a time out to save a 5-yard penalty on a 3rd and 20-something, or that Bama out-rushed and out-passed them 452-253 and had 11 more first downs than LSU, or that they missed one key tackle after another, or the fact that they were dropping like flies from cramps and had no depth in their lineup.

Nope, it was all because of a blown interception call. :lance:

Right on all accounts, Jeff.

And like Lee with a Scott-less backfield was going to engineer a TD drive after the interception, too,. :lance:

I was disappointed and surprised that we did not see at least a six-pic from Lee.

I think the running into the kicker penalty they had on the same drive was equally as damaging. If they hadn't have done that, they would've gotten the ball back with more time on the clock and not have had to rely of the refs to make an interception call.

And even then, they had their second string QB and RB in the game. Odds are on it ending like the drive they had at the end. With 5 minutes left, they still needed a touchdown had the INT occurred, because it is stupid to kick a field goal and have to onside it because you had no time outs.

The stats, procedural penalties, and lack of conditioning suggest LSU did more to lose today than they did to win. WE were the better team, so they should stop whining about a call that didn't go their way.

Bingo! That truly sums up the game.

I think the difference between both teams, especially in the area of conditioning, was evident before the first half was over because it was a prime reason their players were hobbling or being carried off the field like they had been hit by a freight train.
This is one thing that makes me so proud of our team and of the entire coaching staff in preparing for the rigors of SEC games. Had they not concentrated so hard in this area both before the season started and ever since, we wouldn't be where we are now.

Let me address something else here. There are a lot of folks who have been, and still are, concerned because we aren't the leaders of the college football world in the area of offense. I think they don't give credit to the fact that we've been playing with a target on our backs for the past couple of months. Every one of our opponents has watched films of our past games and done everything within their powers to find a way through our defense, and all have failed. They have stacked the box week in and week out and given GMac and Company as little to work with as possible. But The Tide still prevails!
We still have three games left, two of which include SECW opponents MSU and AwDarn. Neither of them can prevent our claim to the SECW title, and for the second straight year, I might add.
21 straight regular season wins - The best record in the NCAA.
9-0 (6-0 SEC) SEC West Champs and destined for a second straight face-off with Florida in Atlanta on December 5.
I'm extremely proud of this team's accomplishments. They are, IMO, the very essence of the "Pluck and Grit" that has always defined the Crimson Tide.
GO BAMA!! ROLL TIDE!!! :a::a::a::a::a::a::a::a::a:

When all else fails, call it fixed.
:nopity:

Seriously, they love to say that the ref's "bad calls" give the game to Bama... If the game really was fixed...don't you think we'd at least be up at the half?

Nothing comes close to being as bad as Dennis Dodd's little gem. I've never in my life seen a national writer so heartbroken over the outcome of a game before. His article reads like a "Mark Green diarrhea of the mouth rant". Simply amazing stuff though coming from a guy on a national level.

You gotta link, Bran? We might as well post all the ASSinine articles in this thread.

Y'all check out Pete Flutak's little nugget:

This just in, Florida has good games against the wet paper bags that make up the Georgia and Vandy deffenses. This elevates them to unbeatable status, and they will annihilate Alabama in the SEC championship just like how they didnt last year.

This might be a sweet year, though if we do win the SEC and beyond(i know cowbell state comes first) I am sure Tennessee and LSU will claim moral championships.

Hate to say it but I thought LSU should have got the INT. Why the heck were we passing right there for anyway? That was the stupidest playcalling of the whole game! We should have been running to seal the game away. (and not just straight up the middle)

My sentiments exactly. What I can't understand is why folks would even think LSU getting the interception would have made a difference in the outcome the game.

If anything, our defense would have turned it up a notch and Mr. Lee probably would have gotten a nice chest rub or two or would have had another pass picked off.

I just wish GMac had connected with our two wide opened receivers so the irrelevant "no interception" call would have become even more meaningless (at least in Bama fans' eyes). I'm sure the LSU message boards would have created more excuses on why they didn't win besides the fact that they received an a-- whuppin.

I agree but what is Julio doing waiting for the ball....just something that helped to give #7 position.

It seems to me that the ref did not consider the ball to be in Peterson's full possession when the first foot hit the ground. As for the second foot, there was not a definitive angle that showed it in bounds(without a doubt). There has to be overwhelming evidence on a video replay. You cannot overrule the call on the field because it looked like a interception. It actually has to be an interception with the overwhelming evidence to prove it. I don't think the first foot was the big deal; grass coming up or not, whether his second foot was on the white line is what was in question and there is no definitive answer. Call on the field stands.
