It's not even accurate, Kirby had the #3-5 class in his first year. Saban had the #1 class if you don't count the class literally 1 month after he was hired. I'm very confused by the random stat that isn't even accurate factually.

I always laugh when an “achievement” is announced with qualifiers. First year and among active coaches. How many first year coaches were there? According to Google, there were 24 new coaches at FBS programs in 2023. He was ”competing” against coaches at Liberty, Louisville, Texas State, UNLV, Northwestern, South Florida, Georgia Tech, Colorado, Nebraska, Coastal Carolina, Arizona State, Wisconsin, Navy, North Texas, Purdue, Florida Atlantic, Western Michigan, Tulsa, Stanford, Charlotte, UAB, Cincinnati, Kent State and Mississippi State. The majority of these aren’t recruiting powerhouses.
