I'm concerned. Ole Miss is not the same team they were when Jax State and Vandy beat them. Tennessee is about due for an upset win. Mullen is going to beat someone he's not supposed to. Then there is the barn. Yea, I'm worried.

You know, in all honesty, this kind of thing happens when (1) you can't rush the passer to save your life. And Alabama just CAN'T. They just can't. They can't get to the QB without commiting the house to it. When you do that, you leave young defensive backs vulnerable. So Alabama will continue to hope and pray that Dareus can create enough disruption to force turnovers off poor decision making, because sacks just are not there.

(2) When you tackle poorly. This is not the first time BAMA has missed tons of tackles this season. It wont be the last. We don't tackle all that well, but make it look like less of an issue because we have talent. Our talent seems to bail us out a lot of the time, and we make a timely play (like an int) but not today.

This kind of thing is going to happen with a young defense that doesn't rush the passer or tackle all that well.

It's no the end of the world, and most people didn't expect the Tide to go undefeated anyway. It's time for the kids to regroup, take a breath, take a break, and then focus.

But why in the world are we in this position? That D is Saban's baby. I know we lost all the starters last year, but these guys should know how to tackle regardless. Why would this continue to be an issue? And let's just start from square one, why don't we get a pass rush? Just why?

Delta, the only thing I can think is that maybe Saban hasn't recruited on that side of the ball as well as he thought he initially did. I mean, we have good players. Solid players. We just don't have anyone that can rush the passer. And as good as Dareus is, he might not be Boulware, Copeland, Julius Peppers or Curry, when it comes to getting to the QB. That's not to say that Dareus isn't a fine player, and will not eventually be a fine pro. He's just not that once in a decade-type of pass rusher that the elite teams have had in the past.

Saban might be re-thinking his recruiting strategy now to get a big-time pass rusher. You never know.

Yea I know I live in Boise an will be hearing it! USCe is a top15 team who has only lost to a top 10 team and will prob. be in the SEC title game against us. Oh yea and Utah pounded a one win team named Wyoming and Boise is playing them world beaters Toledo come the hell on... that's all they got!

You know the real truth is no matter if they were undefeated with 799 straight wins over The Univ. of Sisters of the poor If Bama wins out and wins the SEC we will pass them in the polls and play for a Nat.
