Has everyone forgot that this program was nothing 5 years ago until coach got here . After every win I come on here and see thread after thread
about the losing schools fan base being on a melt down , and all I have seen on here is the same thing !!! Coach doesn't kick field goals or make any play on the field , the players do .
The bottom line we didn't make the plays we needed to to win , that's it . We lost the game , LSU didn't win it . If we take care of business the rest of the year and a few things go our way
we will rematch LSU for The National Championship . If not then the season isn't total loss , how many would have killed to be in a BCS bowl and in the National Championship Conversation year after year prior to coach bringing our program back ? Stop the whining and crying about what could have been and enjoy what we have !

Thats a tall task your asking for Bigdaddy. I'm ashamed of many Sooner fans who peruse the boards after a loss. Hell, OU wins and there are fans who find something to ***** about. You're absolutely right though. You guys ARE ALABAMA. There may be a handful of schools who would stick to their own successes and traditions, but the other 90-100 Universities would sell their soul to have a program anywhere near Alabama. Its VERY difficult to win every game in a season, especially these days. Some of my buddies who are Ok St fans are realizing now just how nerve racking it is to win this many games and be in the top 2. Every game becomes more stressful and uncertain. Its just part of being a fan of one of the greatest programs in the country. Expectations are always higher for the Alabama's, OU's, and such. Just the way it is. I have a feeling I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. We just gotta deal with it.

I am just extremely disappointed in our fan base right now . If you read the threads on here , you would think we were 1-8 instead of 8-1 and #3 in the country with a shot at #14 .
Our Team played it's butt off but made some mistakes that ultimately sealed our fate , you can't make mistakes like that and expect to win .
WE ARE ALABAMA , Stand up , support our team , & and our coaches . Lets don't be classless like allot of the other fan bases .

where is this massive meltdown of which you speak? quite obviously, after a loss, particularly of this magnitude, fans are going to discuss it on the forum and what went wrong, etc... i don't see anybody "melting down". people are disappointed, sure. mistakes were made, sure. you can't discuss the game whatsoever without mentioning the 4 missed field goals, sure. there was questionable play calling, particularly in OT. why is it "melting down" to discuss it?

bigdaddy, this is a thread from the sooner fans forum. i hope it works, but if not, you can get on there and see it on the 3rd page. The poster "badger" has WAY too much time on her hands as she has gone around the college football boards after losses and shared some of the posts. I'm telling ya, its everywhere. Looks like she stole the idea of doing it from one of the Alabama boards judging from her 1st post.
