šŸˆ How was Winston not ejected or at least fouled on Saturday?

Shameis on Jameis.

Yes, I'm fully aware that the defending national champion, Heisman Trophy winning quarterback led No. 3 Florida State to another comeback win Saturday, pulling out a not-so-pretty 20-17 win overBoston College.

What also wasn't pretty was what Jameis Winston did to an official in the second half.

Here was the situation: Florida State had the ball, second-and-4 from the Boston College 47-yard line with 5:18 left in the third quarter. The score was tied at 17.

After the first-down play, the Seminoles made a substitution so the defense had the right to substitute as well, even in a hurry-up offense. The center judge, Michael Webster, was doing his job, standing behind the center putting his hand on Winston to keep him from snapping the ball. Winston came to the line of scrimmage and literally pushed Webster twice in an attempt to snap the ball. He did snap the ball, by the way, and completed a 7-yard pass to Dalvin Cook.

I've looked at this play several times, and in my opinion, Winston should have been penalized for shoving Webster not once, but twice. In fact, I feel he should have been ejected.

Contact with an official can clearly lead to an ejection. Webster was doing his job, which was to hold the snap until the referee cleared him in this situation. Winston clearly pushes him out of the way so he can get the snap off.

That's a foul, folks.

The announcers laughed and called what Winston did priceless. Winston later said, "It was a fast-tempo play and I was just trying to get up under there and let it ride."

However, I think Winston should have paid the price for a foul and should have been ejected.

The TURD knows the rules. You aren't supposed to put your hands on an official PERIOD!! He should have been flagged 15 yds for unsportsmanlike conduct. It looked as though they were working with an 8 man crew in that game. That moved the position of the umpire from his usual position, behind the LBs to the left of the formation. Read where someone claimed the official was out of position and should have been over the ball. That is true in a 7 man crew BUT not an 8 man crew.

At one point, he looks back at the official like he was confused. Jameis is an idiot. I really don't think he knew that he wasn't allowed to immediately snap the ball. He's so dumb I think he believed the official was trying to defend the play. Seriously, he might be the dumbest person to ever win a Heisman trophy.

He would be the dumbest in a line of dummies .. Newton, Manziel, Winston ..

From the official rules. Rule reads, "Persons subject to the rules". Not applicable to Shameis.

Honestly, it was insignificant. Rolando's against Clemson or VaTech was worse and he didn't get a flag.

It was against VT, and he thought the ref was another VT player, so it was not intentional, and obviously the ref knew it wasn't intentional.

Shameis knew it was the ref and it was intentional, and the ref had to know it was intentional. He should have been flagged and ejected.

Not sure how you justify it. Apparently the NCAA instructs its officials to do what they can to accommodate the HUNH teams, even though you see something like this happen, or the Boogs lining up with twelve men on the field and the official not being in position to make the call.

I am not an NFL fan, but I am a fan of the way their officials take charge in these situations, not only regarding substitution, but also in making sure all the officials are in position before the ball is snapped.

i'm sorry, but jameis is a piece of shit.

letting him get away with things like that will only feed his ego and cause more harm than good. he needs to be taught a lesson.....in a hard, painful way.

doing that in the nfl will get you ejected and fined, maybe even suspended.

I hope I don't offend anyone but I believe that Winston is mildly retarded and I don't mean that as a joke. If you've ever heard him speak and do interviews it seems there's something missing upstairs. The look on Jimbo's face when the dude comes out in full gear in the Clemson game (which he was suspended) says it all. I seriously think he's mildly retarded.
