OA....been wanting to ask you about your new coach.


I'm not really expecting an unbiased opinion, but being a UT fan in a Bama family. I'm sure you are sunk up in the UT boards pretty deep. What do you think.

IMO Kiffen seems to be rallying the fan base pretty well. Not trying to flame, but I think it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Obviously he will get some talent in there. Having O and Thompson k assures that......having said that. I know that his dad can coach D. O is pretty good as a position coach and seems well respected, but again is known as more of a recruiter. Same thing for Thompson. Again neither are really noted as out of this world position coaches, but are well noted recruiters. I guess what I'm waiting to see is how they coach up all this talent. Granted defensively I share the opinion of RollTideRandy. I think a Monte Kiffen defense stocked with Orgeron and Thompson talent will be stout to say the least. On the offensive side I know nothing.

I know your jacked up because you got a coaching change, but how do you feel here on the eve of NSD. Got to feel better about your hire than Auburn. :wink:

Well I really dont know what to think...CLK is unproven...but, he is selling something right, that something has gotten a pretty decent coaching staff to kvile...yes know its money...but thes coaches gotta believe that they can turn this program into a contender in the SEC. Yes I am sure in 2 or 3 years we will be stacked with Talent...but will they manage it?? who knows... I am very realistic in my vision of the next season. We will not be playing for the SEC title...we wont beat florida..you guys or lsu...but we will go to a crappy bowl game...thats all i hope to get outta this next year....Part of me is worried I am about to endure many long years of coaches coming in and out like you guys did. It took yall alot of time to get the right guy in there. I hope we dont have to do that.
