OK, you guys and gals can hold this one against me. I don't do AL.com, but didn't take the time this morning to see where the link was directed before I clicked on it. Lo and behold, Paul Gattis actually has an article worth reading! Color me shocked.

An interesting comment from one of the high school coaches in the article.

Said Stevenson, Scott's coach at Vigor: "(Auburn assistant and Huntsville native James Willis) does a heck of a job recruiting this area. He was just recruiting against Nick Saban. It wasn't a lack of effort by Auburn because James came in here and recruited his tail off."

But Willis could use a little help from head coach Tommy Tuberville, Stevenson said.

"Coach Tuberville hasn't spent much time down here," Stevenson said. "He's going to have to step it up and get back in here."

That sounds like a coach with a preference, and it ain't Bama.

Funny, that's what some Barners have said about our success in recruiting. :)
tubs has lost some ground and I expect him to bounce back a little bit.

Nahhhhh...There's not enough talent for tubs to give Mobile a second look. He knows what he's doing! How dare anyone question Tubs' recruiting abilities. Everyone knows the talent is in Ga and Fl, ya know? All the Mobile area had to offer this year was the Cy Young winner, the #1 NFL draft pick, a Heisman runner up and the #1 high school receiver in the nation. Keep on huntin' in R-Kansas, Tubs! Too bad those ducks don't sign your check!
