šŸˆ How much of will homefield advantage play a part on Saturday?

The crowd needs to get into it early. The BDS structure doesn't keep the sound in so a loud crowd at BDS isn't the same as other stadiums. In other words, the crowd needs to be louder in order to make an impact. If the crowd can be loud, it will impact the Ole Miss offense and cause some penalties.

I hope it makes a huge difference. If it doesn’t we should be ashamed of ourselves. I remember the crowd noise at games in 2009 and again in 2011 that made a difference in several games. Let’s not let Saban’s amazing success prevent us from being passionate and loud in big games. We couldn’t hardly talk to the

So true about the ā€œnewā€ sound system.
We use the game day radio so we have Eli in our ear buds and the stadium system drowns him out.
the sound system and music has to go quiet when the qb approaches the line so we fans can make our voices heard.
We will sure do our part from the upper deck

we have two hugh speakers right above us....
It is really obnoxious.....usm wasn't as bad as mercer...maybe they turned em
down some......have to use ear blockers also...
And some of that stuff....it aint music!

But this Saturday......its all on i am sure

Still using the same crappy speakers in the upper deck, almost impossible to hear the announcer if the crowd is into it.

The speakers in the stadium should have no impact on the game. By rule, artificial noise (loudspeakers, bands) are allowed, but . . .

"Artificial crowd noise, by conference policy or mutual consent of the institutions, is allowed. The noise level must be consistent throughout the game for both teams. However, all current rules remain in effect dealing with bands, music and other sounds. When the snap is imminent, the band/music must stop playing. As with all administrative rules, the referee may stop the game and direct game management to adjust."

BD and fans are not really that loud..
The damn loud speakers are...but
The bama crowd....just isnt....
Will have their moments....though
I couldn't agree more. BDS has had its moments but honestly the older entitled fanbase doesn't understand the impact of getting loud. They sit the whole game, shake their shakers and rarely make actual noise. Well maybe to boo the refs or the QB if he makes an bad choice.

Used to go to many games from around 2000 for about 15 years and this was not my experience especially for big games. I tell the story about being at the Bama vs LSU game in 2009 and when Julio took that screen pass to the house for the go ahead score it was deafening. My young son was with me who would have been 7 at the time and his eyes got as big as quarters because we could not hear each either sitting right next to each other. Great memory.

I say that to say BDS can be very loud.
