🏈 How much does your wife know about football?

First Game I took my wife to was an Olemis game in Tuscaloosa. Since she is an Ole Miss Grad< she expected "The Grove" and all its festivities. I explained to her that Alabama was a little different and that we care more about the game and winning than how much the sweater of your best frien cost. We get to our seats and I pull out my radio and ear buds and she looks at me with concern and asks "what are you doing?" i explianed that I listen to Eli and friends during the game. She said " who am I going to talk to?" I told her that maybe the lady next to her would talk to her but she was dressed in crimson and looked like a football fan to me. That day she became a football fan and an alabama fan and found out she was a keeper. She even tells people that we are going to a family reunion on every football saturday. She likes being with 92,000 of her closes friends.

My wife of one year knows Oklahoma football (she was born and raised in Norman and her entire family lives there) but she's starting to come around. She has stopped complaining when I have turned a OU game to watch Bama.

She gets annoyed with me and all the x's and o's because thats all I talk about (I'm a WR/RB coach for a HS team).

Hopefully I can get her to come all the way around and then I don't have to see or hear anything OU.
Dude. You are SO well positioned for this...honestly I can't believe I'm having to point this out. If ever there was a brother who was primed to get a second FOOTBALL TV and still come out looking like a thoughtful sensitive guy its you. You know you have to do it...for her  .

Mine knows a good bit. She has been around football since we were in high school so it has been drilled into her head. She won't watch every game that is played but she watches all of the Bama games with me.

As far as game play goes and basic strategy, she's knows more than most women I know. The problem with my wife is she just doesn't give a crap about football. She's more interested in what we'll have to eat and drink during the game.

Her priorities are all messed up.

I *am* the wife. Should I answer the question in reverse? My H knows more than I do about all aspects of all sports, period. Unless it's gymnastics or equestrian eventing. As far as football goes, I know more than a lot of women and I think men are generally surprised by my interest and expertise. (not calling myself an expert by any means, tho)

Not Much. She pulls for Auburn. :?

Mine went to Auburn but until this year could care less about the game. She does understand the concepts of how the game is played. She learned to keep books in my son's baseball league and says it actually helps her keep pace and understand that game. This year when my kids and I were really getting into Bama games, she seemed to try and asked if there was a book that she could keep so she could better understand it. I guess I have to admit things are improving.
