Here's something that dawned on me this morning.
If you haven't read it yet, this will be the first time ESPN's GameDay has been in Oxford, MS for a Saturday morning broadcast. Just to put that in perspective...GameDay started in 1987 and started its "live incarnation" in 1993. (FWIW, UA has played 270 games since GD started incorporating the "live" aspect (1993.)
Here's what sort of shocked me. Did you realize that South Dakota State has hosted GameDay two, maybe three times over this period? Ole Miss = 0 vs SDSU = 2/3?
Alabama's Record w GameDay on site:
Overall Record: 18-11
Saban Era: 15-5
Pre Saban: 3-6
Home Overall: 4-7
Away: 6-3
Neutral Site: 8-1
Away from Home: 14-4
Legion Field: 2-1
Bryant-Denny: 2-6
Pre-Saban vs.Top 10: 1-4
Saban vs. Top 10: 12-3
Ole Miss Record when ESPN's Gameday host:
Overall Record: 0-0
