"We're going to try to in the Olympic sports go to divisions and we'll probably do that in football as well. For travel, regionalization makes sense. But it really makes sense in the Olympic sports."

As I recall their project was just under 275,000,000. So, when I see they're carrying debt of 318M+, I immediately ask "how much of that debt are they carrying that's facility related?"

How much of A&M's number reflects their stadium improvements?

Is "structured debt" a fair description?

According to ope.ed.gov AZ St. had a deficit of $2,892,931 in FY22. That was subsidized and accounted for under "Not Allocated by Gender/Sport" revenue.

It could possibly show a sign of how strong their donations are though. Is it truly there for A&M like everyone talks about and how deep their pockets are?

This also has me questioning NIL and if we will start seeing facility upgrades and buildings slow, because there is only so much to go around, and it'll affect one piece of this pie. So do we see facilities and donations decrease or NIL decrease? I cannot inagine both jncrease together unless the goverment continues to print more mkney and Wall Street makes more bad loans.

Might be like taxes it always goes up and of course we complain about but eventually accept it. I am sure the atheletic departments AD's will be working to squeeze more money to compete for both NIL and facilities. Will be doubling down to try and get revenue from areas that have not provided it in the past. They will squeeze currnent donors but really go into high gear trying to get fans to pay either by direct donations or increased ticket prices.

The amount of debt in that graphic against how much they spent on the projects you spoke about against the amount raised through boosters.

Those were just example numbers, but kind of like The Crimson Standard and how much we raised for those projects. Can't recall the entire amounts, but I was wonderinf if those graphic numbers are true debts owed after donations or amount of the projects those programs assumed and still owe every bit of.

That's why I keep using the phrase, "structured debt."

As of next year, the Big 12 will consist of Oklahoma State, Colorado, Iowa State, Baylor, Houston, BYU, Cincinnati, Central Florida, Kansas, Kansas State, Texas Tech, TCU, West Virginia, and most likely will add Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah. Just pull in the remaining 4 in the Pac 12 and end all.the suspense. But yes, returning to divisions is a must at this point, even without a merger

USC, UCLA, Washington and Oregon will be in the Big 10. The geography went out the window long ago. With just 4 teams remaining in the Pac 12 now, there is no choice but for those 4 to go somewhere. The Big 12 runs from Florida all the way to Utah. The Big 10 is now literally coast to coast, New Jersey to Cali. I guess Cal, Oregon State, Stanford, and Washington State could join the almighty Mountain West, if nothing else.
