šŸˆ HOW JALEN HURTS BECAME A KEY TO ALABAMA’S SUCCESS

Not really... go re-read the article. His ranking and % is already adjusted for the dropped passes. He's at 35% if you count the dropped passes and at 40% if you count the drops as completions. The 18th ranking is at 40%, not 35%.

You can just use your eyes and see an inconsistency on deep balls, you don't need any stats. My hope is that is just the speed of the WR that he's not used to or something else that can be fixed through reps... however, even if it isn't easily fixed, he's still has so many upsides... I wouldn't trade him for someone else ;) If you had to pick one area to be deficient in, I'd go with the deep pass.

Okay, so wouldn't the same adjustment be applied to all QBs rated in this system, then?

So at worst, he'd still be 18th.

Argument is still invalid, but roll tide anyway, my brother.

The pass attempt to Adarius just before Cam whiffed on block that resulted in sack/fumble was pretty bad. Stewart was open but the ball came out funny and looked like a shot-put. I think he saw him late and tried to pull the trigger quickly, but that was one ugly misfire.

Saban on Hurts, from today's presser...

Enjoy it. Again, most comfortable I've ever felt with a Saban offense (even when Kiffin isn't at his best). His running plays are devastating to the defenses.... And when he gets more consistent passing, which will happen, there won't be any weaknesses.

IMO this is Saban's wet dream. A true freshman with the mental strength of a grown man, shows no emotion, growing leader, who can make plays without taking chances. He's special. 3 years with this kid, wow. RTR

The accuracy of the long ball has to do with many things. Line protection, patience in the pocket, play developement, etc. For Jalen to have this deficiency as a TRUE freshman should be expected folks. He just has to develop that element of his game more.

The funny thing is, there have been games where it was OBVIOUS Kiffin was trying to give him some opportunities, you know to develop the kid. And when he doesn't hit them, we freak out about Kiffin's play calling. The kid just needs more reps. We have a stellar defense that plays one get out of jail free card a game. If not two.
