🏈 How good is Kentucky?

Or how bad is Florida? Kentucky took Florida to 3 over times. It was either a very good day for Kentucky, a bad day for Florida or someone has tried to pull the wool over America's eyes on how good Florida is.

I really believe it's the other question. Yes, UK has shown some improvement, but I am just not sold on Florida. I do not believe this will be the big test it was made out to be earlier this summer. The game this weekend might be close for a half or so (could be earlier), and then Bama controls both LOSs and then the game.

UK has improved but are they improved enough to take Florida to 3 OTs? IMO, No! UF is not the ole ball coach's Gators. They have talent but for whatever reason, CWM just cannot get the team back to the glory days of Spurrier. With the game being played in T'town, its going to difficult for them.

I think it's how bad Florida is? It took them 3 OT to win the game. This game was in the Swamp too.

UK improved for sure but Florida has de-volved. They are not the same team. They will come into this weekend, tired and emotional, and we will wreck 'em up. I saw them sweating and panting on the sideline around the 3rd quarter. Commentators observed how wiped they looked. They are gonna be weak. Right where we want them.

yeah, I know they've gone HUNH, but I still don't think they have the offensive talent to compete with us. Their defense should be good, but I don't think it's great. I don't really expect it to be very close, I say we win by double digits

Florida is very young in the secondary. They are probably a little better on offense than a year ago, but they have still not showed me that their offense is good enough for them to contend. Kentucky is better than last year, definitely, but they are a couple of recruiting classes away from being contenders. Definitely a different attitude. If we play to our abilities we should take care of business this Saturday.

Kentucky torched their secondary. Hargreaves is terrific, I agree. The other guys, not so much.

Hargraves is the only returning starter in that secondary if I recall. Purifoy and one or two others declared early for the draft.

Florida looks like a trailer fire and Kentucky isn't much better.

Kentucky's Towles had 369 yards and three picks. He's not a bad qb. I wonder if UF made him look that good or if he simply is that good. I don't know what to make of the three interceptions. Trickett for WVU had 365 against Bama with just one interception just for reference. Is that an indictment against our DB's?

Chief, I think that Trickett is a very capable QB. Toles is a young gun who will get better. I know one of his picks (at least) was the kind that a kid with a great arm and a gunslinger mentality gets- the "I can beat any coverage with my arm" mentality. Florida had several busts in coverage. Even with Hargreaves I would rate their secondary as not as good as ours.
