šŸˆ How does the SEC select a division winner in case of tie?

Curious because I can see us losing to LSU or Auburn. And you could end up among A&M, LSU, Auburn, and Bama with a 3-way tie for first with one of those finishing with 2 conference losses.

That was under BCS system.

It now progresses through multiple steps for both 2 and 3 way ties, both of which end in coin flips.

I'd love to see the coin flip one day. Complete chaos.

I have seen the coin flip when it came to the HS baseball playoffs one time and it was CHAOS!!! I was an assistant at the time. We had a 3 way tie for first and then only the top 2 went. It was the #1 team in our classification, us, and another school in the directors office for the flip. You should have seen the coach of the #1 team!! Dude was sweating bullets!!! He had a gray t shirt on that was completely soaked in sweat! Could you imagine being the #1 team in the state and NOT MAKING the playoffs? Lucky for him, he did make the playoffs and so did we. Both teams were put out though by the 3rd round.

So from what I can tell, it would come down to the Non-Divisional Opponents Conference records.

aTm - 4-7 ; UT and USC
auburn - 3-7 ; UGA and Vandy
Bama - 6-5 ; UT and Kentucky
LSU - 4-5 ; UF and Mizzu

So really, auburn is a bit screwed as they still have to play UGA and Vandy, and a win adds to the loss column of each team... aTm has a common opponent in UT, so it would come down to the conference recortd of Kentucky vs USC... Kentucky is 4-2 and USC is 2-4 at the moment, so Kentucky would have to lose out and USC would have to win out to just Tie in conference. LSU still has to play aTm so either aTm or LSU will have two conference losses. If LSU wins, they still have to play UF too and would give them a Non-Divisional Loss and Mizzu just sucks, so I don't really see them moving ahead of us but they would have the best chance.

The way I see it, if it's a 3 way time between aTm and auburn and Bama, I don't see how aTm or auburn would win on the tie breaker; however, all we really need to do is win out and then it wouldn't matter. Really, the goal is to be in the NC playoff and game, the SEC title is just a stepping stone to that goal ;)

Correct. Not only would Kentucky most likely be the key factor in the tie-breaker, they also could very well be the East opponent in the SECCG.
