🏈 How do you think Sark plans to attack the Auburn defense? (split from the Marshall thread.)

Hate to admit...but certainly a high probability....if they get Mac rattled...

I don’t expect Sark will allow that to happen. I expect to see a lot of quick passes to the outside to get it out of his hand quick, just like we have witnessed his last 2 starts. I don’t expect many 7 step drops unless you get max protection and only 2 receivers in the route either.

The barn hold LSU to 23 pts in Baton Rogue I'm concerned about this one. I think we will be fortunate to win.

I like our defense a lot better than LSwho’s and I believe our special teams will be the difference with Waddle being the difference maker.

All of those bubble screens are going to lead to a couple of shot plays! Barn DBs will get smoked trying to fly up and limit the YAC. Jeudy or one of the others will sell the block and then set sail.

At least we'll see at least one offense that will have more than six plays.

Here's one we'll see in my view.

Remember, when Sark was brought in one of the additions/expansions of the offense centered around play action passes. That is right in Mac's wheel house. It's contingent on those safeties, ya know? They have to get them back, at least on their heels. I believe Sark will do that with some deep balls.

We know we're going to see a scripted playbook for the first three series or so. I expect to see at least two shots downfield if down and distance allow the call.

All I gotta say on this is that I will be at that godforsaken little toilet bowl for this game. My first Iron Bowl (and first actual game since the 1999 SEC Championship). I'll take a one point win if it means the Aubies have to figure out what to do with all that TP they didn't get to use.

I do too but the problem with that is you will creep those DBs up close, which also puts more strain on the running game. When those DBs creep in close, they've got to take shots down the field. Even if you don't hit on all of them (you HAVE to hit on some), at least it makes them respect it.

I think we are going to see a bunch of different formations, a ton of eye candy (sweeps, RPO, option, etc.) and probably a bit of Wildcat. We're gonna see just how good Sark is, because even if I don't believe Mac is a great QB we can still win with a great game plan. If not... it'll be bad.

I think we will see some deep shots taken. Look for it on some screen action and look for a sluggo route off of RPO action. This will keep their safeties back and give our run game some breathing room.

This game comes down to how well we keep back their two interior D-Linemen, no negative plays, & no turnovers. If we can take care of those three components we will win.

We'll have one, maybe two long drives.

And we will probably have one, maybe two quick scoring drives because of our gamechanging WR's.

But NONE of that will happen unless we can stop those two DL.

The challenge with taking the long shots if you do not hit on some you are going to put yourself behind the sticks. Tua could overcome a bad play or longer down and distance. Mac not sure... If not it will put more pressure on the D to get more stops. I know the barn offense is not great but our D can make an offense look good when our defenders are not sticking to their assignments.

If this were in T-town I would expect bama to win by 2 td's. In the cow pasture gonna be tougher. Will come down to Mac playing with mental toughness because there is going to be some adversity.

These DL the barn has will not be the first NFL DL that Mac or the OL has played against.

I think we see a lot of screens until Sark and Saban feel Mac is comfortable then they’ll open it. We won’t win if we run, run, run, bubble screen, run. Nobody in the country has the the talent at wideout that we do, so let’s use it and make AU stop it.
