Well if you guys put 65 on Arky, I think you can put 80 or more on our lackluster D!

As much as I would love to agree with you, I have no delusion that Bama's lackluster offensive performance, which puts more pressure on your D, will hold up the rest of the season.

he got hit head on. helment to ball....no matter how hard you got it...ball pops out 65% of the time.

We dominated the first half though the score board does not reflect it. I'm not worried at all about the outcome of this game. I think the offense would have put up 35 by now, if we needed it.

I have to say, Ole Miss is laying some lumber tonight. They've tagged a few people. Bama still owns the hit of the night with the block on the punt return. I've never seen a guy block two people at the same time.

General thoughts on the first half:

Your defense is playing well. Ole Miss is what, less than 50 yards of offense?

It seems like someone has flipped a switch on the offense. This is just not the same group I saw wreck everyone in front of them in the first several weeks of the season. I'm sure it'll get fixed, too much talent at RB to continue to struggle. McElroy doesn't look like the same player.

Ole Miss has ZERO offense. I know, your D is playing well and they deserve a lot of credit. Ole Miss just sucks on offense. Even when Bama has been out of position Ole Miss just refuses to do anything.

Your defense has basically put this game out of reach already.

On another note, I'm not sure what's up with all the doomsday posts. I thought we've looked pretty decent tonight. Got some improving to do of course, but we're getting there.

OH i'm not saying it was where he was holding the ball, I agree, it was a perfect hit, but his previous returns, some resulted in some solid hits on him. and I had a feeling he'd take a perfect hit, he did, and fumbled. atleast they only got 3.

Trust me, it's not the first time he's been kicked and it won't be the last. The only reason he made it as long as he did this time is because we haven't lost very many games in the last 2 years.

As for the doomsday post, I think people are just getting sick of the same problems. We have shown no desire to run any plays other than between the tackles, and apparently we've decided to get GMac 35 passing touchdowns this season. If we aren't running between the tackles, we are throwing dink and dunk passes. The reason our offense has struggled is because the defense doesn't have to defend more than 15 yards. We are very predictable right now, and in my opinion, we have been since the Arky game.

With that said, we should skate into the bye week and hopefully come out a little more inspired to finish off the season.

Well. That was an ugly 3 and out. Not crazy about the fake handoff. Mark prolly would have had the first down. Less clever, more run it straight ahead, please.

41 yds. of total offense is a good sign of shutting someone down. IMO
Did it rain in TTown today i have not seen that field that tacky in awhile?
