Obviously I'm looking future at who we would even think to bring in aftet Saban is gone. Tom Herman is the one guy I can think of that has shown he can win with less, so I can only imagine what he could do with more.
Tom Herman has had one good year as a HC at Houston (Kevin Sumlin had a good 4th year at Houston). Herman might very well turn out to be a great HC, but that story has yet to be written.
Well I agree, but who else is looking up and won some big games? Gary Patterson wouldn't seem to be a guy we'd go after. Harbaugh and Meyer aren't leaving, neither is Fischer.

Another half decade or more and Jeremy Pruitt should be more than intriguing. Smart, tough, and hates complacency. A homer pick, but he doesn't seem overwhelmed by the Bama mystique, he's already lived through it for over a decade as a player, position coach, and coordinator.
