šŸ’¬ Here's a true fan, and a true companion for a wife. Cool tweet I stumbled across while reading today's news.

That’s incredibly cool......
Being a really big fan.....sometimes means doing more than watching or going to games ( although those are real fans also) .... sometimes the things we do as kids and follow up as adults......mean so much when passed down to another generation....
like Logans gran-pa.....
I just hope one day my kids/ grankids/ great gran kids love the stuff they inherit...
And it means something.....because its not just mine....its my dads also

But no guarantees really. A few years ago I was kinda shocked when Roy Roger's kids sold off pretty much everything in his museum. There were some personal items, like his two pistols and holster he wore in every movie and TV show, favorite car as well as many, one of a kind items you would think Roy Jr. and the kids would hang on to. They didn't bat an eye at the auction. I guess the moral of the story is enjoy your stuff, but that may be as far as it goes.

I wouldn't mind a couple of hats I saw you post, ;) . I love hats. I am a firm believer in keeping things like you're explaining. My grandpa gave me his Remington 12-Gauge and I will forever keep that in my possession. I'll tell you the weirdest thing that means a lot to me of my grandfather's that I want, and still need to get actually, is the vice and and mounted grinder wheel he has in his shop. Not able to pinpoint why exactly those things stick out to me, but I just know when I was little we spent a lot of time in his shop and those were right there mounted on the bench and I would play with them as a kid. Never used them to build anything special or anything like that, just guessing it was some kind of muscle memory or sorts for seeing it so much.

I am principal of a high school that is less than a mile from Roy Rogers boyhood home in McDermott, Ohio. Another name you may recognize is Branch Rickey, about a mile and a half down Duck Run Rd. in McDermott. He signed a guy by the name of Jackie Robinson and is buried nearby.

I know exactly where you are. I've seen the house. Not a lot of folks think of Roy Rogers as being from Ohio.
