Total number of points scored in a season for SEC games. So, if all SEC teams scored a combined 100 points in a season, the years listed here have Alabama scoring 70% of those points.

At least that is the way I interpreted the stat. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Did the math so we now know.

Not 70%+ of the total of all SEC games. Just looking at this year and the 8 SEC regular season games UGA and Bama played, UGA scored 276 and Bama scored 374. That means out of just 2 teams Bama scored only 57.5% of the points.

What it means is Bama averaged scoring 70%+ of the points in SEC games they played in. This year Bama scored 374 in those 8 games and their opponents scored 113, meaning Bama scored 76.8% of the total of 487 points in SEC games they played. Their math is off though and I can't explain that. The UGA game would bring that down if included (74.3%)

I think what they mean is that in our SEC games, we scored 70% of the points in each game... so... for example, we averaged a 7-3 victory in every SEC game (could be 70-30, 35-15, you get the point). Like we beat Aubarn 35-15, and Ole Miss 14-6, etc...
