As a kid I can remember listening/watching This Week in Baseball with Mel Allen. He was awesome. Loved me some TWIB notes.

That audio is awesome. If you close your eyes, you would almost swear it was Doug Layton.

Many don't know that Mel Allen got his start in broadcasting doing play by play for Bama football while he was a student. He was Melvin Israel back then.
