I felt no pity or any degree of sympathy about his collegiate career and the "issues" we seemed to read about daily. It's just not the cloth I'm cut from. Yet, as he continues down the road he's on I'll have to admit my feelings are changing a bit. Still, no pity. And certainly no sympathy. I have to admit, there is a sense of sadness while I continually run across articles like this one published on 247.

āHe just hasnāt seeked it yet,ā Manziel said. āHopefully he doesnāt die before he comes to his senses. Thatās about all you can say. I donāt know what else to say. I hate to say it but I hope he goes to jail. I mean, that would be the best place for him. So weāll see.ā

I do wonder if he'd chosen to go to Texas and play safetyāa position that's no where close to the spotlight a quarterback receivesāif things would have ended up differently. Heck, I wonder how much the influence, or lack thereof, coming from Sumlin and his staff, has done as much harm as the environment in which he was reared.
