We have done well in Texas under Saban.

I hear we have an excellent shot at the Brockermeyer Brothers. On top of JC Latham from IMG. Could be a stunner of an offensive line class.

Rivals has said for the last year there was no way they don't go to Texas due to the ties you speak of. Yet, yesterday they said Alabama has picked up steam and is now the perceived favorite. 247 has us at like 80% I believe, and that includes their Texas insider giving us the Crystal Ball.

@TerryP @planomateo on a similar note, could this have any correlation to the number of kids coming to Alabama for undergrad from Texas? I was shocked at how many folks I met on campus from Texas. I'm sure the numbers have increased the last eight years as well.

Probably. There's huge marketing efforts going across the nation for UA an out of state students. A friend of mine I've referred to on numerous occasions—heavy USC ties—said 8 of her daughters graduating class (less than 300) were attending Alabama. She attends school in LA ... and her daughter is headed to UGA.

Things have been trending Bama's direction for the Brockermeyer's since April ...

When my oldest graduated HS a few years ago, several of the top 5 were going to Alabama, none of which had any ties. One of the female soccer players is from the HS as well. 8 on the women's soccer team are Texans.

Most universities are heavily recruiting nonresidents, it pays more

Don't see it based on the results Saban keeps getting year after year. I would suspect those guys are hurting the Barners of the world worse than Bama when the dust settles.
