I’ve never had to use a hand pump on a car tire before. Fortunately I have one of those portable pumps that you plug into your car ‘lighter’ (or whatever it is called nowadays). Otherwise the tire is so far gone that it has to be changed.

Age, defined. I'd bet those in this thread who raised their hands pumped those tires up when there wasn't a such thing as a portable/cig lighter air pump.

Drove a 63 Falcon as my first car. One tire had a slow leak so we always kept a tire pump in the trunk.

No, my dad didn't believe in buying anything powered I could do manually until after I moved out. Weed eater, riding lawn mowers, tire pump, etc.

Honey suckle, on the back fence bordering a farm...got as much as 3' thick at times. These were my nemesis...until, as a teen, I was finally able to convince. Now I have manual, electric, and battery powered. I use all three.
