🏈 Have CFP SB ticket prices dropped?

Yes, they are seeing declines due to the extra game.
This year's SEC Championship was a little different because there were Playoff implications for both teams for once, much like our game with Georgia in the BCS to play Notre Dame.

Here's my train of thought... I would rather pay to watch us play in the Championship game, because if we don't make it I'm glad I didn't pay the money to watch us lose in the Semifinal. Now that's only my playoff and SEC Championship mindset due to costs, not the regular season.

Agree thats part of thought process..... somewhat anyway..
But.... really have to get past the win-loss thing.....
Got to get in the mindset to watch a great competitive football game.....LIVE!!!
Otherwise its just going to the Mercer type games.....
But even at reduced ticket price..still would cost me a 1000$ to go for weekend...
MS50+ dont like economy trips....lol

Genius! Never thought of it that way...

Now this is my train of thought. LOL

Hearing the GA/OK tix have been falling, too.

Hard to get all the East Coast folks to travel West. Heard tickets to Alabama-Clemson I were below face due to travel to Arizona. My old CFO was a Florida State alumni and said their trip out West to play Auburn was a joke too. He bought his full alottment in efforts of selling two to recoup some of his costs and ended up losing money on them as the demand simply wasn't there due to travel. Airline prices are a joke as well, since within three weeks planning favors the airlines.

These damn hotels turn the screws to the fans making it nearly impossible as well. Remember me asking you about hotels near Midtown for the Florida State game? Only place I found (called thirty hotels from Downtown to Midtown to Buckhead) was an upscale room about the size of a Master Bathroom, maybe smaller at 250 sq ft, at the Autograph Collection Marriott for $600 for one night!!! Vanderbilt game in Nashville was charging $375 a night at the Holiday Inn near the stadium the weekend of our game, effectively pricing me out after the Florida State expense. After that game, less than $150 a night.

The Championship game is in Atlanta this year, making it an easy drive for 3 of the teams. I would imagine this is having an impact on Clemson and Alabama fans, considering we've played in the last two Championship games.

Rose Bowl is nearly $300 a ticket, suggesting that OU and UGA fans want to make the trip out West. There isn't much to do around Pasadena, cool venue to go to at least once. I scratched that itch vs Texas.

Could have rented an RV and even with the fuel/mileage charges you'd have come out ahead--and that's for a week. A friend of mine rented one for a week for a trip to St Simons and it ran him about the same price--they drove it everywhere.

Never really thought about something like that. Although during the Camping World Bowl I liked the idea of buying a camper. Just hate they lose their value so easy, although it doean't really matter if you buy used and get your moneys worth.

Last night, I saw tickets starting at $68 apiece for tonights game. The problem I see is IF you fly, airfare is jacked up as well as room rates going through the roof and demanding a 2-3 night minimum. The wife and I made the trip to NOLA in '14 and had actually booked a room in Dallas for the following week for the Title game. The place told us when we called to cancel that they had a non refundable cancellation policy. It was "purposely" omitted when we booked. We were able to move it to September and went then for the '15 opener.
There is no flying in and flying right back out unless you have a private plane.
