🏈 Has the expansion @ BDS started?

I had not heard of it either, but was just commenting on the idea brought up on this post.

I agree in that it goofs with the Fang Shui of the stadium...having boards in the 4 corners with starts on the ribbon boards seems to be clean, symmetrical, and polished. I like it.

Having recently done some HD TV shopping I now have to ask, how much of an HD feed can the screen support? Also, have you heard anything about perhaps upgrading the audio system or installing one of those "suspended-above-the-field" camera systems?

It isn't so much the "Fung Shui" () of the stadium as much as it is what kind of support would be needed to handle the weight? The notion was large scoreboards on each end...and you've seen the support structure that is required for those type of screens.

As to the HD question...I don't know.

Audio system...it seems I've heard something about upgrades in that area...but, it's just one of those thoughts, nothing I can remember that is concrete. (it would makes sense if they waited on the HD camera's, they might wait on a real nice upgrade to sound as well)

I'd love one of those camera's in the middle of the field, but I haven't heard anything about that either.

If there is one thing I have to say about Coach Moore, when he does something, he does it right. It might not happen when we want it, but (ie: HD cameras) it isn't like he said, "no, no need to first class there."

No i agree. i don't think Coach Moore will settle for second best in anything. that being said....while making improvments....the pay per view telecast is.......well needs serous help.

would be nice if we had something like the "DAWG REPORT" that's on litleraly every night on CSS. how those monkeys pulled that off i don't know. CSS must be a bunch of UGA homers or something.

To take a different angle, and not to belittle Coach Moore's role, knowing that in CNS' eyes everything is part of the Process, and a stadium is a tool that pays multiple dividends (i.e. home-field advantage, impressing recruits, sucking in more money for the program...), what do you suppose CNS sees as being lacking from the Stadium?

I'm curious because it just occurred to me that CNS seeing things on a different level might also apply to the stadium as well. So I was wondering what I was missing.

Terry, you may have some insight into an answer that the rest of us may not have (i.e. behind the scenes, locker room, press facilities,?)

That is a damn good question.

I'll see when his next press conference is in Tuscaloosa and see if I can get a guy to ask him that. I'm *thinking* it might be as late as Feb. after signing day...and if it's that long, the question is going to have to wait. But, I'll drop a bug in a few ears to get some of the guys to ask.

The pressers? I don't see any need to improve those. It's really nothing more than a room with chair and a podium. Plus, I don't see how it would be a concern of Saban's. :D

The press box in BDS is as nice as I've been in. So, I can't see improvements there either. The only one I might put ahead of it, and that's only because of the food that was available, was the stadium in Charlotte. (they wined and dined the guys in the SECG...but that's expected)

As to locker rooms. Our visitors locker room is nicer than most of the home locker rooms some of our rivals have. If that doesn't give you an idea of how nice the home locker room is in BDS I don't know what to tell ya.

If you ever get the chance, take a tour. I promise you, when you see it...it'll be one of those, "Damn!" moments.

If I forget this...please remind me.

Again, DAMN good question.
