The reporter says "officially suspended" while referencing a tweet that says "negotiating a suspension that's expected..."
My interpretation: It's like a self-imposed sanctions...UM is suspending him for four games and it's up to the NCAA to approve.

My question is: Does this mean he’s suspended from all football activities (practice, recruiting, games) or just can’t show up on Saturdays?

If it's like other suspensions I remember it's just for the game; including pre-game stuff.

Yeah, that soft schedule came at a good time for them. The only game I could possibly see them struggling is that Rutgers game. What be really funny is if he came back for that Nebraska game and lost.Man! Big Blue is facing some real steep competition in those first four games. I hope those guys keep their playoff chances going during this rough stretch.
