• More than one quarter of sports fans say they have prayed for their team. White evangelicals are more likely to do so, followed by white mainline Protestants and minority Protestants.
• One quarter of sports fans believe their team has been cursed at some point. (Midwest fans are more likely to believe this.)
• One in five performs a ritual before or while watching a favorite team play.
• Football fans are more likely than other fans to do all of the above.
• On any given Sunday, 25 percent of Americans say they’re more likely to be in church than watching football. Twenty-one percent say the opposite. One in five says both.
• Americans are evenly divided on whether God rewards athletes of faith with health and success.
 
I've certainly said, "Oh, gawd" during a game...don't consider that a prayer though.

Looking over that list there's not a single bullet point that applies to me...then again, I have cursed at the TV/team on a few occasions. Don't think that's what they were after...
