I was just checking out that thread and most say Bama will win but those that say otherwise think it will be a close one. Their schedule is pretty weak,especially playing a school that has only had a football program for two years now (South Alabama) and still lost to them.

How many years has GSU had a program?
 
It's going to be a nice payday for them. And we need to make the point of having this thing sealed up by halftime. I don't want to see any of our starting bunch in the second half. This gives us an opportunity to show auburn some things that we may, or may not, do in the Iron Bowl.

Oh my gosh, if the lines can't have their way on Thursday night then I'm beyond concerned.

It's simple for GSU really. Come in and take ass whipping, check out how a big boy football team plays football. Leave with a nice paycheck and some good experience under their belts.
 
Most of our fans who are sane do expect us to get killed. Bama can make this as ugly as they want but I'm sure they'll likely back off after the 1st half. Looking forward to my first trip into Tuscaloosa!! IF we score, I know I'll be cheering like we just won the game!

Can you guys a recommend a decent bar before the game? Thanks!
 
Hey gsu01! Welcome aboard. Hope you enjoy your time in Alabama! A bar I've always enjoyed going to would be the Houndstooth on the strip. Great easy going place with plenty of people to chat with and plenty of TVs to catch the action going on.

Off the strip, 1831 seems to be a popular joint. Browns Corner is also decent. On the Strip (on gameday), The Houndstooth is obviously popular, but I've not been since they re-modeled. I've always been partial to Buffalo Phils, because I get my pre-game buzz off of chicken wings and fingers... but they have plenty of beer and a bar as well.

The old Innisfree used to be fun, haven't been to the new location yet though.

Ah, okay, I see now. Haha. I wasn't offended at all or anything, it's just I don't get to go often so I thought there was something I didn't know about it. I see what you were saying now though. :lol:
