When your morning starts off with a ride on a 18 wheeler truck, with Alabama linebacker, Nico Johnson, you know it's going to be a good day.

In the case of seven year old Jarvis Ward, it was unforgettable. His mother Margaret Ward says this experience has been overwhelming for the both of them.

"He's going to talk about this forever. He won't be able to sleep tonight because he's so excited," said Ward.

Jarvis Ward is battling stomach cancer, and today Jarvis got the wish of a life time, a one- thousand dollar shopping spree at Wal-Mart in Geneva. His shopping trip was courtesy of Wal-Mart and Kids Wish Network. Jarvis's favorite player was by his side the entire time.

" Seeing him smile when I got out of that truck is enough for me," said Nico Johnson. Johnson is a linebacker for the University of Alabama. Alabama is Jarvis's favorite team.

Margaret says Nico Johnson's appearance was a welcomed surprise.

"He knew about the shopping spree, but he didn't know about the diesel truck and football player. So when Nico got out, and gave him a hug and an autographed hat he was just excited," said Ward.
Jarvis Ward went from aisle to aisle picking out electronics and even a bike. His family says today was amazing, finally a day where Jarvis can forget about his worries and just have fun.

" I'm happy and today has been remarkable for him. He's very excited and it's brought a lot of joy to him," said Latoya Ward.

Latoya is Jarvis's older sister. She also accompanied Jarvis on his shopping spree.

Margaret Ward says her son deserved this opportunity.

" He feels great and I do too. He's been through so much, just to be seven," said Ward
The bike, games, and flat screen TV came to 845.00, but Jarvis's happiness on his special day was priceless.
