šŸ§‘ā€šŸ³ Got some family coming in town. Gonna try a new twist (I'm sure someone has done before.) A shrimp based quiche.

Here's where things get "funky." I don't know if I can find some good looking chard. Spinach would be good for the content...chard adds a bitter texture to things it's made with. Sour cream would combat that. A Greek yogurt would as well...vanilla flavored and you change the dish.

Gettin' pretty good at this quiche thing...in my opinion.

If this works out it'll be one of the first I'll add to the "Resources" tab under Food.

Topped with tomatoes....yep, this one will be good.

Trial 1: Came out pretty damn good. I'm changing a few things. Six eggs...too many, now I've got egg shit on the oven bottom to clean. Or, it may have been too many ingredients.

I'm ditching the spinach and going with green bell peppers. Ditching white onions and going with Vidalia. Both will add a sweetness.

Ok, here's it goes. I sliced it into eight pieces and between my mom and two cousins it's gone. One piece left I'll try tomorrow. They are "raving over this one."

I used a glass pie dish "waxed" with Crisco out of the can. A 9" dish, 9" crust.

Mixture is "roughly" on some parts.

Two eggs.
One of those smaller containers of sour cream. It's about a cup.
Chives, to your taste. I used about 2 tablespoons.
Green Bell pepper (sweetness to the dish, as well as a crunch) About a third of one that's about the size of a softball.
Ground black pepper to taste.
Kosher salt.
Cheese is your choice. I used a Fiesta blend. It was a handful so a little less than a cup, I'd guess. Shredded.
The shrimp, again, your call. I used what most would call medium.

Grease your dish, lay the pie crust.
Layer the bottom with the shrimp. (pre-cooked. I boiled mine with Old Bay.)
Mix all that other shit together and pour it on top of the shrimp...smooth it out.

Oven 350. 25-30 minutes...let it set for about 10 before slicing.
