🏈 GMAC benched 370?

99% of what hits his twitter account is akin to facebook updates.

But, what the op puts up is true...he posted it yesterday afternoon.

You can follow him if you are hooked up with twitter at http://twitter.com/GVMcElroy

All that said, it wasn't a "shock" to me. He was getting close to 300 when he arrived on campus three years ago.

I had a friend tell me about that last night, that makes me feel good.

GMacs supposed weaker point was arm strength after all.

That's why I don't put a lot into this news.

Arm strength is just as relative to shoulder muscle strength as anything.

Bench presses do help, but they concentrate more on the inner muscles of the chest and the chest muscles.

That said...I'm not sure of the strength program Cochran has for developing arm strength...a lot of different theories on what works and what doesn't.

Still, though, a 370lb. bench press for a qb could translate into being tougher to bring down or shedding tackles. If he benches 370, he probably squats and deadlifts some pretty decent totals as well. A high combined total in the big 3 could be very benneficial for a rookie QB.

In the purest example of an "arm chair quarterback" is there is...it's my opinion Greg has great timing.

It's his release time that people point to as a weakness. He's not going to be one that threads the needle like Brodie or some other quarterbacks of note. But, then again, I can't say that is a trait that is a make or break talent for a QB.
