crazy, so Knowshon runs a 4.61.

from some reason, I thought Percy was faster than 4.41, not saying that's not fast, just would have thought him to be low 4.3 range.

Wow, that wont work in the NFL for Knowshon, from what I understand, he cant turn the corner with that speed, as there are linebackers and DEs who run faster. Not saying he isnt good, he is, but I dont see him as a first rounder now.

I've been saying this all year.

Besides the spin move, and the two highlight videos we've seen with Knowshown jumping over players, what has he done this season to make him "that great back?"

Honestly, in the SEC, there are a few running backs I'd pick over KM if I were in a GM's position in the NFL.

i'm starting to think coffee knew that he would be suprising some people at the combine..

his decision to go pro after the season that he had is starting to make alot of sense..

i am very happy for him.. he was a really exciting back to watch this year.. ranks right up there with the old humphrey and alexander days.

I don't know if Coffee is a "surprise," but he does offer something a lot of backs can't offer the NFL scouts.

With our offense, versus some of the others that feature a spread approach, the running back position is easier for these scouts to evaluate.

I know this is simple in the way I write it, but it does warrant mentioning.

The first move for RB's in the spread is often a lateral step. It's quite different in our offense considering how much it resembles the NFL approach.

So, the way I'm seeing it...these Scouts may look at Glen and see a player it's easier for them to evaluate because he comes from an offense that mirrors what their teams run...versus, the scouts having to guess at how well another RB would adjust to their scheme.

Coffee and JPW both looked pretty sharp. I noticed on a deep ball of all things, that the coach told JPW that he made a good throw and that it was the receivers fault for not adjusting. The NFL really hates the spread offense since they don't get a true look at these kids coming out.

Knowshon makes up for a lack of pure foot speed with his intensity and unwillingness to be tackled. In old coach-speak he just 'plays hard.' He fights like heck for not only yards, but feet and inches on each carry.

Despite that, I still think a lot of his public persona and opinion of his 'football abilities' is based on his demeanor between plays as much as what happens during a play. He will make a good run or effort, but nothing you do not see twenty times a game from backs in ANY SEC game, but will immediately jump up and pose and strut and this 'intensity' plays well for the masses.

Harvin would be 4.3-or-below guy if he did not have continual foot and ankle problems. But, as Saban says 'it is what it is' and since he always has those tweaks he is a plodding 4.4-guy. Guy did wonders for UF, but I do not see his skills transferring to him becoming a dominant type player in the NFL. Good yes; great no.

Has anyone else noticed over the years that all these 4.7 high school DLmen suddenly become 5.1 guys at the NFL combine and all the college Jr. and Sr. skill guys go from running 4.28 and 4.35 forties to 4.48 and 4.6 at the combine? The idea that high school kids and college players not heavily involved in track programs year-round can post those times is comical. Olympic sprinters, at least those not named Bolt, do not run sub 4.3 forties - and they are in their peak years of mid-to-late 20s and train specifically for straight-line sprinting and do not have the bumps-and-bruises-and-strains from contact with defensive linemen or linebackers or DBs.

I have been saying this as well. I think the guy ends up having a Carnell Williams type of career. If by career you mean always hurt and really not all that good.
