🏈 Georgia signee says he felt "awkward" around Nick Saban, laughed at Gene Chizik

i feel awkward while reading his comments about feeling awkward around Nick Saban.

maybe he will be able to lift uga from the mediocrity they seem to unwillingly enjoy!?!?!? :chat_bs:

You guys wish you had UGA on the schedule this year?

Not me. Putting rivalries and biases aside, in my experience, they are absolutely the most obnoxious fan base. And I generally try not to group a fan base together, because we all have "those guys" as fans, but the week we played them in the infamous "blackout" game I had never seen such a high percentage of their fans that I came in contact with act so obnoxious...and we really don't have a "hated" rivalry with them.

I wondered if the interpretation of this "Stability" comment was directed moreso at CKS and CSS, the CNS.

He stated that he got along well with Smart and Sunsari, but if he sees them as indeed Rock-Star assistance with great potential of moving out and up - which they certainly are/were - then what is left is CNS.

We sweat losing CKS every year, and this kid is no different other than he has a higher investment into the relationship. He was right about CSS.

Where I see the weakness in his case is that odds are that most players will lose a HC, OC, or DC in their career. That is part of the game, like knowing that there is a decent chance that one will have some type of injury to overcome. The point that he is missing, and perhaps not confident on, is that the reall question is how does that program recomver from losing an HC, OC, or DC. Bama is doing extremely well, and that will be the part that grows "awkward" over the next 5 years for the young man.

16-17 year olds make awkward decisions -- anyone want to share their 11th grade Year Book picture with the rest of us? (LBS' awkward 17 year old decision)

He's got family in his ears. That's not a big deal, it happens all the time. What gets me is what the family is saying. This is talk coming directly from Rodney Garner. I can just hear him saying it...

You know you guys are a revolving door of coaches! I hear Saban will coach the Saints this year

The family is worried about coaching stability and then think GEORGIA is the way to go? With Mark "hang on by the skin of my teeth" Richt? He's one terrible season away from being sent packing!

And, was just the receipent of a contract extension. Look how long he's had Bobo, Garner, and a few others on that staff.

True, but wasn't Shula the recipient of a contract extension less than a year before his firing? I know it's apples and oranges, but in today's world of coaching it seems things change quickly.
