I've got the game playing on one of my monitors so maybe I misunderstood him.

I thought he was talking about the USF defense, specifically giving credit to their DC, Allen.

If he hasn't been hired officially yet, it's my understanding he's at the top of the list for AU.

As of Monday night, the majority covering AU football were saying we should expect Allen to be announced as DC this past Tuesday. Well, Tuesday came and went ...Wednesday brings up this.

While CC isn't saying "turned down," I can draw no other conclusion than AU has had another DC turn the job offer down. (BTW, the position of their high school coodinator/relations position? As of the last time I looked they are getting as many "no thanks" for that position as well.)

@TerryP, I wonder just how many DCs have called former Barner assistants and asked about the positives and negatives of being a member of "Tha Fambly!"
