KNOXVILLE, Tennessee -- More than ever, it appears almost certain Alabama won't be facing Tennessee starting quarterback Justin Worley.
Worley, a senior, wasn't dressed out for warmups and appears poised to miss his first game of the season because of a shoulder injury he suffered in the fourth quarter of last week's loss to Ole Miss. Vols coach Butch Jones has said repeatedly that Worley's injury is a "cumulative effect" from all the hits he's taken this season.
Tennessee has surrendered an SEC-worst 30 sacks through seven games.
Sophomores Nathan Peterman and Joshua Dobbs are both anticipated to play quarterback for the Vols. Peterman is 8-of-15 for 39 yards in four games this season. Dobbs, who made his collegiate debut against Alabama last season, has yet to play in 2014.
This marks the second time this season Alabama will miss an opponent's starting quarterback. Florida Atlantic was the other.
$1000 BamaBucks says the numbers are hard to read on UT's jersey's. Another $500 they're told they have to change them so there's a bigger difference in the two colors (contrast.)
