šŸˆ GAME THREAD: Auburn vs Alabama

Well, I have been laid up because of my left knee, couldn't put any pressure on the knee or walk on it. I couldn't get the computer to the bed either, the laptop is in the broke mode. I was hoping to go the a motel room and watch the game. But, that is out of the question as of right now. So I will do something I hadn't done in a long time an that is listen to the game.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!

I'm getting some great reports from campus today. So, so many I could share so I'll hit a few thoughts.

It's the opinion of CLK that Auburns' strength is found with their interior defensive linemen (two DT's) and one MLB. The game plan is to attack the perimeter as much as possible.

Look for special teams play today: not what you'd expect from Bama.

DeAndrew White will have a play called his way which you'll recognize when you see it...Kiffin dialing up some things we'll enjoy.

Completely agree with point #1.

Looking forward to seeing points 2 and 3.

From a friend I trust completely...after morning staff meeting and his conversations with different staff members...forgive format, came as a text.

I refuse to be afraid of the Boogs this year. I respect
them but this team we have is ready for whatever comes our way& have that
competitive edge that AU had some of last year but better. We,not them, have had
some great luck this yr like Ark&LSU game...even injury luck in a sense even
though we've had bad injuries too. Cochran has our boys primed and Coach is
telling them to stayed poised&focused but let loose and go play their best game
of the year...hold nothing back. Here's my 2104 IB take after watching walk
through& talking to some coaches&players.... I liked what I saw on offense. Kiff
has put in some new formations&sets to disguise our intentions w a new look
Ellis Johnson&their def players haven't seen. We are running it a good bit(sweep
play to left w Derrick, I-Formation power run between tackles w TJ&even a couple
FB carries w Jalston...then some nifty play action stuff w Coop in motion that
looked new. Passing game looked crisp w seem passes to OJ, a cool misdirection
play to DeAndrew that is a TD waiting to happen. I expect Kiff to hold nothing
back as far as using all our plays. Also like seeing TJ used as rec out of
backfield. Derrick looked good...Tyren&Jalston also got a couple of RB carries.
TJ looks healthiest he's been in a while. Coop has compression sleeve on knee
but moving good. DeAndrew looked good. Ardarius walking well so cld play next
wk. Vogler looks out. Cam at LT for most snaps...slight limp& Shep took a few w
64 Grant Hill at RT jic Cam has issues w ankle I'm guessing. We evidently want
to run it some early to establish some dominance but due to their weaker
secondary& pass rush I expect the passing game to be where we hurt them the
most. Saw some cool ST trick plays I can't talk about. Def looked very confident
against scout team....communication much better. Kirby said he expects some bs
trick plays so teaching our guys to play disciplined and ignore the eye candy.
AU uses smoke&mirrors more than ability. We will be ready. A'shawn is looking
great & Duvall looked decent so may play. Reuben was in black so not sure if he
plays ST tonight unfortunately. We plan to go after Nick M bc we are thinking
they know they have to pass to beat us. Duke W being back is big but expect some
man coverage on him&Coates so they have to earn their other yards. We will flip
to zone if they adjust or make big plays. Most importantly this team is in the
right frame of mind. The entire team had high spirits and the coaches feel
confident this team continues to improve&that we are ready to play a great
football game. We don't want to play a weak AU team they said...we want to smash
em at their best. No excuses, no fear. It's time for payback from last year but
more importantly an ass whooping for AU bc they stand in our way to the
championship this team has put blood, sweat& tears into
RTR!!
