This is one of the few times I actually agree with Melick. Especially on his take about the PAC 10, Big 10, and the Rose Bowl

The roadblock, as always, is the Big Ten, the Pac-10 and the Rose Bowl, which steadfastly hold to their independence and their affiliation with each other as well as ABC. It was best summed up by Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany, who said the decision to join the BCS "was not considered the first step toward a playoff, but the last step."

So here's a radical suggestion to Misters Slive, Tranghese, Beebe and Swofford: Go on without them.
