So in summary, the penalty for having a player play his full career while being ineligible because an organization paid his dad $180k and gave mom and dad a job, is the vacation of 37 Wins and loss of 8 scholarships. Then the Will Wade mess cost the loss of 2 scholarships and extension of probation and show cause. The 37 wins, probation and show cause seem about right but the scholarship loses seem light. I guess the idea is to avoid punishing the current players but the organization allowed and maybe even enabled it.
Sankey is going to protect his schools... for anything substantial to ever happen to an SEC school again, it is going to have to be something really, really bad... like a Baylor or Penn State type coverup of a much more serious situation than just recruiting violations... and it would involve Sankey standing by and letting it happen. When LSU finally cut ties with Wade, they got their protection from Sankey. Vols have gotten it too.

Yeah I am thinking about how did it impact the administration that let this happen? Of course I would like to see the who's and viles get hammered so it impacts their performance on the field for the next several years .
