"A fly in the ointment." It was clever, a little amusing, when Brando started that bit some 15-20 years ago. And then he was "released" by CBS Sports and went to Fox. (Let's not forget the same happened when he was with ESPN before CBS.)

The guy's had a burr in his saddle for the past few years because of the participants in the CFP. "It's not inclusive enough" has been his mantra when the playoff teams were announced. "It's bad for TV" has been a favorite punch line as well.

So, where lies the difference between a blue blood field in basketball and a blue blood field in football? I'm leaning towards pent up feelings about how fans felt about Tim and his views/takes. But maybe, just maybe, he just likes to bitch?

I don't see his feelings as being pent up. He's down right rude to some on social media. Disagree with his views and you'll get blocked quicker than Tidefans bans.
