💬 Frozen Tide Hockey Beats Arkansas Tonight!

In the new ACHA D3 rankings released tonight, Bama is the #3 team in the South Region, and Arkansas is the #1 team in the Pacific Region. It was a nail-biter, but it was a GREAT game!!

If you're in the Birmingham area tomorrow afternoon, they play their second game @ 1:00. Come join me at the Pelham Civic Center.

In this afternoon's match, Arkansas owned the first (2 - 0) and scored eleven seconds into the second. It was not looking good, but then Bama woke up. They scored three in the third, including two 5 v. 3 goals (The piggies had a 5 v. 3 chance but were stonewalled!). Arkansas scored in the 3rd to go up 4 - 3 with about...ten - twelve minutes left; Bama then scored to tie it a few minutes later. After a scoreless OT, both teams went to a shootout. The piggies beat Condon on their first two, but he stopped their third one. Bama meanwhile...1 - 2 - 3!!! And the winner completely faked out their goalie! RFTR!

Bama got two first place votes in the recent ACHA D3 South Region votes. Bet they get a lot more than that next week. Arkansas was #1 in the Pacific Region...Was! HA!
