🏈 Friend and false pretense led Tide's Marcell Dareus to surprise party in Miami

As his mother lay dying in her Birmingham home, Marcell Dareus couldn't cope. He had to get away.
It was the middle of May. Spring classes at the University of Alabama were over. Summer classes and football conditioning didn't start until early June.
Along came an invitation from a friend to fly to Miami. The chance to hang out in South Beach sounded good, so off Dareus went to chill in the sun, sand and warm water.
Little did the star Alabama defensive end know what kind of hot water he was about to get into, according to sources close to the Dareus family.

I hope so, too, and we have no reason to doubt that he is telling the truth. It appears that this snake of an agent is now getting other players to do his bidding. Wasn't this the same guy that was involved with Smith last year?

The Court of Public Opinion is going to have a hard time reconciling "mom on death bed" with "this sounds like a great time for a trip to the beach".

What is sick about this whole episode is that Marcel will be asked to explain how he got back from Miami in a hurry after his mother passed. I can't imaging fielding a request for a receipt while make funeral arrangements for my mom.
