Whether Kansas receives an especially favorable whistle at home has long been a subject of fervent debate in Big 12 circles. Opponents have complained about not getting calls at Allen Fieldhouse since before the Jayhawks’ streak of 13 consecutive Big 12 titles even began.
...
Kansas has attempted 532 more free throws than its opponents in Big 12 games at Allen Fieldhouse since the start of the 2004-05 season, the equivalent of 4.55 extra foul shots per game during that span. College basketball statistics guru Ken Pomeroy told Yahoo Sports that home teams across the sport have shot an average of 2.35 more free throws per game than road teams in conference play since he began compiling the statistic in 2002.

Of course the home crowd punks them into calls. Ultimately that's why Vegas odds are so different on home vs road stuff... Marginal calls usually go the home way. It is what it is - Officials are officials for a reason. If they were both competitive and understood the game, they'd be coaching. One of the other is missing in their DNA

I caught the second half, that was bad. These refs are obligated to no team or conference. They pretty much just float around and work so many different conferences, major, mid and small. I don't get the conspiracy angel at all. Otherwise, it would make you wonder how the Mountaineers got such a big lead on the road to begin with. Maybe they just get siked out by the crowd like opposing teams often do. Whatever, it wasn't the refs finest hour.

All I know is I would not want to be anything ie; book, phone, paper, etc... that Coach Bob Huggins could grab once he got in the visiting teams locker room. 35-2??? Come on, the fix was in in Lawrence, Kansas.
